The TCC 8803 tablet is our latest find from the Shanzhai market. Its superior graphics features surprisingly transcend those of the Samsung Galaxy II tab.
This tablet has a 7” touchscreen with a 1024x600 resolution and rides on an ARM Cortex A8 processor with a frequency of 1.2GHz (psst!…at least that’s what the manufacturers claim, when it was tested, the frequency was found to be only 800MHz). As previously mentioned, this tablet supports first-class 2D and 3D graphics, and the reason behind this is the GPU Mali-200 of 320MHz that the manufacturers have used in the tablet. It runs Android 2.3.
Apart from this the tablet has Wi-Fi, a gravity sensor, an integrated DDR3 of 512MB, and supports 3G, 1080p videos and Flash 10.1.
On the exterior, the tablet has a plastic shell with a matte finish; it has a TF card slot, USB port, power port and a headphone port on the side.
This tablet is an example of how the Shanzhai are improving technically. Perhaps the big brands have a few lessons to learn from the Shanzhai!
